Sanchin – The Final Countdown

I spent most of the morning doing some ruthless last minute cutting and now I’m finally ready for that last read through. By this time tomorrow, or Monday at the latest, Sanchin will be on the last leg of its journey to publication.

It’s been a long and, for the most part, rewarding experience. Whatever happens now,  it will have been worth all of the blood, sweat and tears.

This afternoon I rewarded myself with a good workout. My training has suffered badly over the last week or so and I feel so much better for having pushed myself again.

Tomorrow I will probably be stiff but, as I plan to spend the day reading, I don’t mind at all. I’m anticipating a final little tweak here and there but otherwise, I’m fairly confident that Sanchin is ready to go.

  1. Good luck!

Oh boy, I understand the blood, sweat and tears. It is worth it though. The highs and the lows are both worth it. It’s the ultimate adventure, for a writer.

    Thanks, Michelle.

Yes, you’re right. It has definitely been worth it so far. Even if it goes no further than holding a copy of my own novel in my hand it will be worth it.

Just knowing that I stuck it out and got to the end of the journey in one piece (well, almost) is enough. Anything over and above that will be a wonderful bonus 🙂
