Well, I finally got my internet fixed. What I thought was a broadband issue turned out to be my wireless card. Apparently when I upgraded my Ubuntu kernel I upset my drivers. Oh the joys of being technically inept.
I haven’t been writing recently as I’ve been busy catching up with other bits and pieces but I have set aside at least part of the upcoming weekend to work on Yantsu.
Speaking of weekends, I finally had one off. The first one in ages. Saturday was a great day out at the British Karate Kyokushinkai Regional Knockdown Tournament in Bletchley.

Sunday we went to the beach. You just can’t compare the North Sea to the Indian Ocean and it’s still a shock to my system everytime we go to the coast here. Not exactly what I’m used to but I went for a swim anyway.
Cold, muddy and zero visibility!
It’s times like this when I really miss Durban and Cape Town but at least it’s better than a heated indoor public swimming pool. And, believe it or not, the water is much warmer here than it is in Cape Town. Oh, and I’m far less likely to be eaten by a shark. Okay, maybe the North Sea isn’t so bad after all. 😀
I’ll have an update on Yantsu sometime over the weekend. For now I’m going for a run with my sparring partner and then we’re going to do a workout on the bags. Should be fun!
